PHOTOS: A very Dubois 4th of July

(Dubois, WY) – The town was filled with visitors and residents on Sunday for the annual 4th of July festivities from 10:30 am to dusk.

The morning kicked off with the Kiwanis Kids’ Games at Town Park which included sack, stick horse, and 3-legged races, as well as, a water balloon toss among others.

Horses, tanks, classic cars, tractors, a baton twirler, rafts, fire trucks and more began to line up for the parade after 12 pm. Preparing to make their way down the spectator-lined Ramshorn from the Town Park to the 1st Street intersection.

This year, 34 organizations participated in the parade, according to Jennifer Marshall Weydeveld, Dubois Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. Some participants had multiple entries including CM Ranch with three and the National Museum of Military Vehicles with 21.

Emcees this year were Honey House owner Kyle Miller and Rustic Pine owner Luke Sander. Dubois Mayor John Meyer recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and local singer and songwriter Skip Ewing sang the National Anthem.

The day continued with an ice cream social and fireworks at dusk.
