(Fort Washakie, WY) – A Veterans Day ceremony took place yesterday at the Path of Honor Wind River Veterans Memorial. Veterans read aloud prayers and thoughts of thanks to those who have served in the military to the attendees who gathered at the Frank B. Wise Business Center Parking lot. Vietnam Navy veteran Harold O’Brien rolled up the Eastern Shoshone flag at the end of the ceremony on Tuesday in Fort Washakie. “This is for all of them who couldn’t make it home, we need to honor them,” said O’Brien. h/t Carl Cote
Cora Brown and Marine Veteran Chester Friday looked at names on the Path of Honor Memorial on Tuesday in Fort Washakie. “I came out today to honor those who came before me,” said Friday. h/t Carl Cote
