(Riverton, WY) – Planes sat out on the tarmac near the hangars Saturday for the Riverton Airport Fly-In at the Central Wyoming Regional Airport, where families walked between the aircraft and climbed inside for a closer look. Along the edge of the tarmac, the regular suspects from around Fremont County lined up their hot rods for a car show. Local food trucks handled the food and kids worked through games set up nearby.
At one end of the event, a crowd gathered to watch remote control pilots Paul Griffin and Jeff Deines, of Cody, fly a helicopter and a plane. Normal airport activity carried on the whole time, with regular traffic coming and going away from the crowd.
