(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton Rodeo Grounds turned pink Tuesday night as the Wind River PRCA Rodeo Roundup held its annual Pink Night, a tradition that honors cancer patients and survivors while raising money for the fight against the disease. Contestants, committee members and fans traded their usual colors for pink as the arena filled for a full slate of professional rodeo action. The night kicked off with a ceremony in honor of Beth Evans and in remembrance of Charlene Von Krosigk.

The centerpiece of the evening once again saw pink chaps auctioned off to benefit cancer causes, an effort that has raised a considerable amount of money for research over the years. This year the event raised $30,094 according to organizers. Entertainment was provided in between Breakaway roping and tie-down roping by horse trainer Felix Santana and his dancing horse Romano.
