(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, May 11, will be windy as a trough of low pressure moves east across southern Canada, tightening the pressure gradient and flattening out the ridge. Expect west winds of 25-35 mph, which will usher in much warmer temperatures with highs in the middle 80s.
Lipson says we could see some Virga showers on Monday afternoon, but no rain is expected to reach the ground. A combination of these winds and warm temperatures and minimum relative humidity dipping down to around 10% is going to result in high fire danger for today.
Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the mid to upper 40s, with evening west winds of 15-25 mph.
