“Due to the ongoing water issue in Ethete, it is necessary to close the following departments effective immediately;
- Ethete Clinic
- Tribal Water Engineering Dept.
- White Buffalo
- Blue Sky Gym
“Patients are encouraged to seek services at our other facilities located in Arapahoe and Riverton. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.”

UPDATE: The Northern Arapaho Tribe has shared that the following programs are closed today due to the waterline break (as well as Northern Arapaho Tribal Housing and Blue Sky Hall).

(Ethete, WY) – Late Thursday night, January 8, WYDOT shared on its Facebook page that crews were working on a waterline break “near the intersection of Wyoming 132 and Ethete Road in Ethete,” which occurred after the waterline had been damaged earlier in the day.
“Into the night Thursday, workers battled falling snow and cold temperatures on a waterline break near the intersection of Wyoming 132 and Ethete Road in Ethete,” the post states. “Motorists: Please give workers a ‘brake’ as repairs continue on the waterline. The Ethete area is without water; students were sent home at noon today after the waterline was damaged.”
For those affected by the waterline break, a potable water truck has been stationed at the Ethete Store this morning, January 9, according to a post shared on the Arapaho First Facebook page.
Folks are asked to bring their own containers to fill with water from the truck.
