LANDER – crews are still working on restoring power and due to the location of the problem, they needed to bring in additional heavy equipment. It could be up to 5 hours before power is restored
UPDATE: At 1:20 PM the High Plains Power Facebook page shared the following message: High plains members in the Lander, Pavillion and Ethete areas- we are experiencing an outage due to a downed transmission line. Crews have been dispatched to the area. Ethete and Pavillion- hoping to have power restored in about 60 minutes. Lander- outage may be longer in your area but we are working on it! We will update as we can. Thank you!
(Fremont County, WY) – A power outage is currently affecting High Plains Power customers (July 29) in the “Riverton, Pavillion, Lander, Hanna and surrounding areas/territories” according to an automated message from High Plains Power.
The message states that crews are aware of the outage and are addressing the cause.
As of 1:18 there is currently no estimated time of restoration.
The message did not indicate the cause of the outage, and subsequent attempts to contact a representative with more information have yet to yield a response.
A downed power line caused by a vehicle was reported around 12:20PM, but it is unconfirmed as to whether this was indeed the cause of the outage.
