(Riverton, WY) – The Sheep Camp Quilters recently mailed out 50 Quilts of Valor nominee invitations, which are set to be given out to Veterans at a ceremony scheduled for Veteran’s Day, November 11.
The ceremony will take place at 3:30 PM at the Elk’s Club in Riverton, located at 207 E Main Street.
The Sheep Camp Quilters are a group of volunteers who make quilts by hand for the Quilts of Valor organization, which aims to honor every Veteran with a ceremonial quilt.
The Quilters group has been a part of Quilts of Valor for over 14 years, during which time they have honored local Veterans in the Fremont County area and given out over 1,000 quilts.
The Sheep Camp Quilters wanted to note that they are short on quilts this year, so there will not be extras to give away for folks who have not received one of the 50 univites, but they are hoping for a great turnout to show support for the honored Veterans at the ceremony this year, so be sure to stop by.
