(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag Warning for Fremont County, which is in effect until 9 PM tonight, September 3.
“A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.”
The NWSR is calling for high temperatures in the 80s, low humidity (10-15%), and winds blowing at 15 to 25 mph (with gusts up to 35 mph).
