(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has extended the Red Flag Warning for Fremont County from noon to 8 PM today, July 27.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
Currently, southwest winds are expected to gust up to 30 mph, with humidity as low as 8 percent, and high temperatures in the mid-80s to around 90 degrees.
