(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has shared that today, August 6, the Red Flag Warning will continue once again for a large portion of southern Wyoming, effective until 8 PM Friday.
The NWSR says the relative humidity will be between 6-15%, with winds gusting up to 40 mph.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
