(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton issued a Red Flag Warning over the weekend, which remains in effect until 9 PM today, March 30.
“A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.”
The NWSR is calling for low humidities (as low as 13%), temperatures in the mid 60s to lower 70s, and southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph (with gusts up to 50 mph) each afternoon.
