(Riverton, WY) – The City Council meeting is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The meeting is open to the public.

The agenda includes a variety of topics, starting with the call to order, the Pledge of Allegiance, an invocation, and roll call. Mayor Tim Hancock will be present, along with council members from all three wards: Kyle Larson and Dean Peranteaux (Ward I), Karla Borders and Kristy K. Salisbury (Ward II), and Mike Bailey and Lindsey Cox (Ward III).
Notable agenda items include the introduction and swearing-in of new patrol officers and a dispatcher, reports and comments from council members and the mayor, and the approval of minutes from previous meetings. The Finance Committee will also discuss the optional ½% excise tax for economic development, with a presentation from the Riverton Youth Soccer Association.
Other key items on the agenda include a public hearing and consideration of Ordinance No. 24-006, which addresses jaywalking, and a presentation from the police department on new crime scene software. Additionally, the committee will consider bid awards for a new 4×4 UTV and the Smith Road Storm Drain Replacement Project, as well as an airport lease agreement with Hudson Holdings, LLC.
Public comments are welcome during the “Communication from the Floor” portion of the meeting. An executive session may be held if needed, followed by adjournment.
