(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will meet on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverton City Hall Council Chambers, and there’s plenty on the agenda. The meeting kicks off with the introduction and oath of office for a new Community Service Officer, followed by the exciting “Carnivore City Proclamation.”
The council will then review several ordinances, including those related to public intoxication and municipal parking lot regulations, which are up for their first readings. Public hearings will be held for these ordinances, so if you’ve got thoughts, now’s the time to share them!
Other highlights include a discussion on EDGE funding recommendations aimed at boosting local economic development, and the consideration of two bids for sanitation and recycle trucks. Plus, the council will review the FY 2024 year-end financial report.
Remember, the Finance Committee meets beforehand at 6:45 p.m. to discuss bills, and this meeting is open to the public, too.
