(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton Help Center gives those in the community a hand up in their time of need but now find themselves in need – both financially and in filling their pantry.
Originally founded in 2014, the Riverton Help Center is the sister organization to Lander’s First Stop Help Center.
The Riverton Help Center assists community members once a year who are having financial hardships with things such as rent, utilities or medical expenses. In order to receive financial help, they must produce the bills which are then verified and paid directly to the company. Money is not given directly to the client. A valid photo ID is also required.
The Riverton Help Center is currently needing help filling its pantry with pop-top canned foods and dry goods. They are also seeking financial donations so they can continue to help those in need in the community.
Due to their limited supplies and funds, they are currently only open Mondays from 11 am to 2 pm and are located at 519 East Park Avenue. Donations can be dropped off during those hours or by calling (307) 463-0799 and making other arrangements.
