(Riverton, WY) – Priority Ambulance announced today, October 27, that 10 distinguished healthcare professionals from across its family of companies have been selected to receive the prestigious American Ambulance Association (AAA) ‘Stars of Life’ award, “one of the highest honors in the EMS industry.”
The Stars of Life program “honors EMS professionals across the nation who exemplify exceptional service, patient care, leadership, and dedication to their communities.”
Among those named, and the sole representative in Wyoming, is Riverton resident Carol Harper.
“As an administrative assistant at Frontier Ambulance, Carol Harper has become a driving force in the role of community relations and outreach in building stronger connections between EMS, Fremont County, Wyoming, and the Wind River Reservation community,” Harper’s bio informs. “Recognizing the unique challenges faced by trauma victims, Carol partnered with Tribal Victim Services, Local Victim Services, and Frontier EMTs to create a safe space where individuals can seek help and access resources to begin rebuilding their lives.”
“I’m very honored and humbled to have received this recognition,” Harper shared with County 10. “Our EMTs and Paramedics, all of our first responders, do extraordinary work in our communities. I’m just one person in one Wyoming community of volunteers and heroes who serve tirelessly, whether they’re in the spotlight or doing important work behind the scenes.”
