(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District No. 25 School Board will convene for a regular meeting this Tuesday, February 10, at 6 p.m. in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.

A. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Approve an Out-of-State Travel Request
Max Mills is recommending the Board approve an out-of-state travel request for a RHS Choir student to travel to Tacoma, Washington in March 2026 for the All Northwest Conference.
Recommendation to approve the Riverton High School Choir student to travel to Tacoma, Washington in March 2026 to participate in the All Northwest Conference as per policy.
B. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Adopt Policies
Recommendation to adopt Policy 2025-R “Federal Grant Cost Principles and Allowability”; amended Policy 2045 “Banking Services, Management of Federal Awards”; amended Policy 6100 “Student Activities & Organizations”; amended Policy 6100-R(1) “Student Activities & Organizations – Proposal and Approval Process” on first reading.
C. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Accept a Grant
Roy Brown is recommending the Board accept the Northern Arapaho Tribe’s Johnson O’Malley (JOM) Grant allocation in the amount of $20,950.00. The funds will be used to support the JOM Parent Committee’s supplemental Native American Education Program.

D. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Declare Items as Surplus
Kate Swistowicz is requesting the Board declare 144 laptop computers which have aged out and are no longer useful to the district as surplus. One hundred of the laptops will be sold to a technology device recycler and 44 laptops will be offered for sale to staff and the community during a specific period of time at a specified location instead of at auction.

E. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Approve New Course Proposals
Christina Mills is requesting the Board approve the following Riverton High School new course proposals:
- Beginning / Developing Band
- Music Fundamentals (Concurrent Enrollment)

F. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Award a Bid
Ed McPherson is recommending the Board award the RHS Gym Sound System Project to Western States Fire Protection Co. of Casper, WY in the bid amount of $161,477.00. The base bid is $138,933.00 minus $12,102.00 for a portable sound cart, alternate #1 bid of $45,646.00 minus $11,000.00 for 8,000 lumen projectors, for a total bid of $161,477.00. There were two bids received.
Recommendation to award the bid for the Riverton High School Gym Sound System Project to Western States Fire Protection Co. of Casper, Wyoming in the total bid amount of $161,477.00.
G. Consider an Administrative Recommendation to Accept a Retirement Request
We have received a letter of retirement from Jay Galey as a Special Services Adaptive Physical Education Teacher.
