UPDATE: At 1:58 PM, Riverton Fire Department PIO Henri DeClercq confirmed with County 10 that the fire is in the 500 block of West Jackson Ave., and that no injuries have been reported at this time. DeClercq said that West Jacskon is closed from N 5th Street West to N 6th Street West.
(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton Police Department has shared that crews are responding to a reported house fire “near Rendezvous School,” according to an RPD Facebook page message posted around 1:40 PM, June 19.
The fire news reporting outfit Caught the Fire Bug shared a post indicating the fire is in the area of N 6th Street W and W Jackson Ave.
The RPD post states that “Roads in the area will be closed off for fire trucks.” Use caution in the area, and yield to all responders.
