UPDATE: Chief Wempen confirmed that crews were responding to multiple fire calls at the same time: the fire reported below, another east of Pavillion/north of Riverton, and one in the area of Birchfield Lane in Lander. As of 7:10 PM, all three are either in the mop-up stage or cleared.
UPDATE: Fremont County Fire Protection District Chief Ron Wempen just confirmed with County 10 that, as of about 5:55 PM, the travel lane has reopened, but traffic is still slow-moving.
(Fremont County, WY) – A travel lane on US 26 is currently blocked while crews address a fire, according to an advisory from WYDOT. The blockage is from milepost 126 to 127, pictured below.
No further confirmed details are available at this time, but County 10 will provide updates as we obtain them.
