UPDATE: As of about 11:20 AM, scanner traffic updates indicate the semi has been cleared from the road.
(Fremont County, WY) – Scanner traffic and WYDOT updates indicate reports of a semi spinout near milemarker 53.7 on WY 28 (South Pass), which has caused blockage for northbound traffic, as of about 11:10 AM on February 17.
“Stalled semi truck, travel lane blocked near South Pass at milepost 53.7, be prepared to stop, expect delays,” the WYDOT alert states.
At this time, WY 28 South Pass roads are still under an Extreme Blow Over Risk Advisory for roads “Between the Fremont/Sublette Cty Line and Atlantic City Rd.;” “Between Atlantic City Rd and Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate;” and “Between Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate and US 287 / WY 789.”
A Level 2 Chain Law is also in effect for WY 28 roads “Between the Fremont/Sublette Cty Line and Atlantic City Rd” and “between Atlantic City Rd and Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate.”
