(Fremont County, WY) – As the nation gets ready to celebrate its 250th Anniversary with July 4 events across the country, Fremont County will once again provide a number of opportunities for folks to come together and have some Independence Day fun, with traditional events in Lander and Dubois, and some new ones in Riverton.
- Lander: As per tradition, Lander will once again have plenty of Independence Day fun with the 132nd Fremont Toyota Pioneer Days Rodeo, known as “The World’s Oldest Paid Rodeo,” which will be held on July 3 and 4. Other July 4 Lander festivities include the Challenge for Charities Half Marathon/5k/1 Mile Race, the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on Main Street, the Lander Pioneer Days Parade at 10 AM, the annual Rotary Buffalo BBQ in City Park after the parade, the rodeo fun linked above, and then folks can end the night with Lander’s fireworks show, located behind the Wyoming Life Resource Center. County 10 will be livestreaming this year’s parade on our YouTube channel, and you can also listen to the broadcast from Jerrad Anderson and Vince Tropea on 1330 AM / 107.7 FM KOVE.
- Riverton: New to official city-wide July 4 celebrations is Riverton, which has events planned from 10 AM to 8 PM for the semiquincentennial. Check out the schedule of events below.
- Dubois: Click this link to see all of the fun happrening in Dubois for both Juy 3 and July 4, which includes rodeos, a street dance, a pancake breakfast, duck races, and of course, the big, tank-filled parade, which starts at 2 PM sharp at the Town Park and proceeds east on Ramshorn Street. County 10 will livestream the parade on our YouTube channel with Charene Herrera-Gardner and Scott Fuller pulling announcing duties.
- Shoshoni: Folks in Shoshoni will be able to enjoy the fireworks show at Boysen Marina, which will begin at dusk (9:30-9:45ish). There will also be music from Cowboy Hippie and food/drinks at the Marina from 6-9 PM.
- Jeffrey City: Jeffrey City will host a July 3rd celebration. Details are in the flyer below.
