(Fremont County, WY) – Folks at Wyoming Indian Elementary recently let County 10 know that they were challenged by Saint Stephens Elementary for a friendly competition between the schools, to see which one can have the best attendance.
“Whoever’s school can have more of their kids attending all day every day (heentooni’/ nemme oyos sik haniikwhenteh/ we are here), receives a special prize that has to be provided by the other school,” the announcement message states.
The ongoing competition will have a traveling trophy “overflowing with goodies” that will go to the winners, which representatives from the other school will have to deliver personally.
“All students, families and communities are welcome to join in and encourage each other to achieve this goal,” Saint Stephens School shared in their challenge post on the school’s Facebook page.
Wyoming Indian accepted the challenge, and had the following message for the challengers.
“We want St. Stephens to know, Chiefs Nation is showing up to the challenge! Ninety four percent of our kids are here today (Oct. 23) with more on the way; game on!”
