(Cheyenne, WY) – On February 18th, Senator Tim Salazar introduced his sponsored bill SF0069 – Property tax limits.
“Dramatic increases in property tax assessments are hurting those who I work for in Senate District 26 (Fremont County),” he said. “My bill seeks to give some property tax relief by not allowing any property tax assessment increases in any one year by more than 5% percent from the prior year. In some communities such as Dubois, property tax assessments have increased by over 50% to some households. This bill seeks to help families who are struggling.”
