(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, February 18, a Canadian cold front moves into the area, which means scattered snow showers that should continue into this evening.
Lipson says we should see an inch or less of new snow by the end of this evening in the Wind River Basin area, and up to 1-3 inches in the Wind River Canyon, South Pass, Sinks Canyon, Beaver Rim and Jeffrey City areas. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight after the snowfall ends.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that snow will continue across the west, with bands of snow occurring east of the Divide. Gusty west winds will also redevelop across areas west of the Divide.
High temperatures will be in the 20’s today, with lows tonight in the single digits.
