(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that a re-enforcing cold front will come blasting through the area this morning, August 26, which will lead to an unusually early show of scattered thunderstorms, some of which will have small hail and gusty winds.
Lipson added that once the storms clear out of our area, we will be left with partly to mostly sunny skies for the rest of the day, with cooler temperatures.
Due to lingering moisture and instability behind the front, we could see an isolated afternoon thunderstorm in northern Fremont County, mainly in the Dubois, Pavillion, Wind River Canyon, Boysen Reservoir, Lysite and Lost Cabin areas.
Any afternoon storms should dissipate by sunset, with clear skies and chilly temperatures tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that high temperatures will be in the 60’s and 70’s today, with lows tonight in the 40’s.
