UPDATE: The Severe Thunderstorm Warning now includes Lander, Fort Washakie, and Hudson, and is in effect until 6:15 PM. “This storm will contain golf ball-sized hail,” the NWSR advises.
(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Hot Springs County in central Wyoming and Central Fremont County until 5:30 PM.
At 4:34 PM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Anchor Dam to near Bull Lake, moving southeast at 25 mph. 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail/vehicle damage are expected. The NWSR says to expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees as well.
The NWSR also shared that a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect until 10 PM.
