(Wind River Reservation, WY) – Shoshone and Arapaho Fish and Game announced today that “major improvements are coming to our Tribal lakes,” which was made possible by a Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Grant.
Upgrades will include:
- New vault restrooms
- Picnic areas & pavilion-style shelters
- Tribal permit kiosks
- Wayfinding & educational signage
- Improved boat ramps
The post states that Ray Lake is first on the docket for improvement projects, and that “work begins this week with the removal of old structures to prepare the site for brand-new amenities.”
“This is just the beginning—more projects will roll out over the course of the next year, bringing upgrades to Bull Lake, Dinwoody Lake, Moccasin Lake, and beyond. These investments are being made for the use and benefit of our Tribal members and community members, creating spaces that are safer, more welcoming, and enjoyable for generations to come.”
