All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Shoshoni, WY) – As a follow-up to the Shoshoni Police Department’s recent Operation Corossroads drug bust, SPD Chief Chris Konija has provided additional details and the identities of the individuals who were charged.
Last week, the Shoshoni Police Department announced it recently seized “1.2 lbs of methamphetamine, illegal firearms, and various other amounts of controlled substances and contraband” in the Shoshoni area.
The efforts were a part of “Operation Crossroads,” which was initiated on April 9 of this year, with the purpose to “disrupt, diminish and detour the distribution of controlled substances; specifically methamphetamine within Shoshoni,” the release informed.
This Operation, executed on May 14 by the SPD in conjunction with the Riverton Police Department, resulted in the arrest of four individuals.
Those individuals include:
- Stacey Case (YOB 1967); charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Inent to Distribute Methamphetamine
- Daniel Kraft (YOB 1964); charged with two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine, Possesion of Methamphetamine, Illegal Possession of Firearm
- Lee Elwell (YOB 1969); charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine
- Catherine Randolph (YOB 1962); charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine
“While Operation Crossroads has ended and the objectives attained, this initial operation serves as a commitment to Shoshoni and surrounding areas that those who distribute dangerous controlled substances will be identified, found, and held accountable for the harm caused to our communities,” Chief Konija also shared in last week’s release.
“We sincerely wish that this will be the final operation conducted by the Shoshoni Police Department, however, we are waiting, watching, and will respond in the future to anyone who chooses to participate in the distribution of methamphetamine or other dangerous substances within Shoshoni in any form.”
