(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, June 17, a trough of low pressure moves through the area, which means scattered showers along with widely scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
Lipson says the strongest thunderstorms will likely occur in northeast Fremont County, where small hail, 50 mph wind gusts, and locally heavy rainfall are more likely to occur.
Otherwise, partly sunny skies will make way for clear conditions tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also advised that tomorrow begins the first day of a warm-up to summer temperatures, and that elevated fire weather conditions are forecasted Thursday through Saturday, especially across southern WY.
High temperatures will be in the 70’s and upper 60’s today, with lows tonight in the lower 50’s.
