(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that last night’s weather system was strong enough to mix out the atmosphere to the point where it broke the cold temperature inversion and was able to pull down some milder air from aloft down to the surface.
This means milder temperatures for today, January 9, with partly sunny skies and clear conditions tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that gusty north-northwest winds will continue through much of the day, gradually subsiding by sunset.
High temperatures will be in the 20’s for Dubois, Jeffrey City and the South Pass area, and in the lower 30’s for Lander, Riverton and Shoshoni.
Lows tonight will be in the single digits for most.
