(Pavillion, WY) – Wind River senior Aislynn Vroman signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in rodeo at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne.
Vroman was a standout rodeo competitor in junior high and high school and comes from a rodeo family.
Vroman is the daughter of Mike and Jess Ruby and Eric and Katie Vroman.
She wrestled at Wind River High School. She began competing in rodeos when she was just six years old. Vroman was also a member of the student council.
She’ll major in ag business.
“I don’t know what I’m going into,” Vroman said. “It’s something to start off with.”
She’ll barrel race, compete in breakaway, and tie goats.
Vroman looked at Casper College and Gillette Community College, but LCCC was a good fit.
“I like the coaches and their facility,” she said.
She carries a 3.0 grade point average.
Her rodeo scholarship, combined with the Hathaway Scholarship, will cover almost all of her tuition and room and board.
“I thank my parents and my family for helping me,” Vroman said.
