(Riverton, WY) – The girls’ 12U Riverton Girls Fastpitch Softball Recreation season recently came to a close, where the Caught the Fire Bug-sponsored team had a big win in the final championship game, with a 13-3 win over the Teton Therapy-sponsored team.
“What an incredible couple of months it’s been. From the first practice to the final out of the championship game, these girls gave it everything they had,” Darren Clifford with Caught the Fire Bug shared. “They showed determination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a true love for the game every time they stepped onto the field.”
The final 12U Recreation Standings were:
- 1.CTFB (medal given)
- 2. Teton Therapy(medal Given)
- 3. Ruby Roustabouts(medal given)
- 4. White and Gray Law
- 5 Barquin Trucking

Final Scores:
- Championship Game: Caught The Fire Bug defeated Teton Therapy 13–3.
- 3rd Place Game: Ruby Roustabouts edged White & Gray Law in an exciting 13–12 battle.
- 5th Place Game: Barquin Trucking and Ruby Roustabouts put on another thriller, with Barquin Trucking earning a hard-fought 12–11 victory.
“A huge congratulations to every player, coach, volunteer, parent, sponsor, and umpire who helped make this season such a success,” Clifford also shared in the release. “Watching these athletes grow in confidence, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the year has been incredible. Every team should be proud of what they accomplished, regardless of where they finished.”
The recreation season has come to an end, but next weekend, Riverton’s 12U travel team heads to Gillette to compete in the State Tournament on July 10.
