A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Olsen Orthodontics.
The Wyoming State 4-H Foundation awarded more than $74,000 in scholarships to Wyoming 4-H’ers attending the University of Wyoming or a Wyoming community college in the 2026-2027 academic year, and among the recipients are students from Fremont County.
Emma Hill, Jackson Hill, and Cora Remacle received the Ella Schloredt continuing scholarship (ranging from $1,700 to $2,400), for which past winners are eligible to continue receiving it for up to four years, provided they maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 and meet academic progress requirements.
Other Fremont recipients included Logan Milek, who won the Underwood Scholarship ($1,000), and Payton Helton, who received the Charles & Eileen Oakley scholarship ($1,250).
The scholarship committee awarded approximately $41,500 to first-time winners, Steve Mack, Wyoming State 4-H Foundation director, shared in the announcement release.
