A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Olsen Orthodontics.
(Fremont County, WY) – Three Fremont County athletes have qualified for the biggest rodeo competition of the high school season.
They won’t have to travel far for the prestigious event either. The 2025 National High School Finals Rodeo happens July 13th – 20th in Rock Springs. Wyoming of course is no stranger to hosting the large event with Rock Springs and Gillette alternating as hosts between 2013 and 2019. The event returned to Sweetwater County in 2024 for a two year run. Earlier this year, it announced that Gillette gets another turn in 2028 and 2029 after two years in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Representing County 10 this year are Emma Martin, Stetson St. Clair and Landon Gold.
Gold is a sophomore at Riverton High School and was the Wyoming champion in steer wrestling.
St. Clair is a junior from Crowheart and was second overall in Wyoming bull riding this year.
Martin, a freshman from Lander was the state champion in pole bending this season.
