A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Olsen Orthodontics.
(Lander, WY) – Eight Lander youth soccer players represented the state of Wyoming on various 307 Select soccer teams at the Rapids Youth Soccer Tournament in Denver, Colorado, this past weekend, shared Nikki Dellinger.
Stirling Baker and Wylie Nachazel played on the Boys’ U15 squad. Nia Abernathy, Mila Knell, and Finley Roseberry played on the Girls’ U14 team, taking second place in their bracket. Jude Dellinger played on the Boys’ U14 team, winning the championship with four shutouts over the weekend. Tristan McCabe played on the Boys’ U11 team, while Emma Lutz debuted as goalie for the Girls’ U10 team.
These players must try out and make the 307 Select teams, which are teams made up of soccer players from all over the state. They play in tournaments nationwide, including representing Wyoming in the Olympic Development Program in Mesa, AZ, in January.
