(Wyoming) – After a WYDOT snow plow was struck outside of Ten Sleep yesterday afternoon, December 26, WYDOT District 5 has advised drivers to use extra caution when traveling on slick roadways, especially when crews are out dealing with the winter weather conditions.
A post shared today on the WYDOT District 5 Facebook page states that a snow plow driver was slowly plowing fresh snow along the guardrail of a slick stretch of U.S. 16 about seven miles east of Ten Sleep, when a Ford Ranger driver (who was also reported to be driving slowly) lost control of their vehicle.
The post informs that the Ranger then slid across the road and made an impact with the front of the plow, with no damage to the plow but extensive damage to the Ranger.
Luckily, no injuries were reported, and the plow driver was able to resume their work soon after.
