As of March 22nd, Wyoming’s snowpack/snow water equivalents (SWEs) is reported as 97% of the median, according to a report from Wyoming NRCS Hydrologist Jim Fahey. Last year, the statewide median was 111%.
There are minor increases as well as small decreases in snowpack/SWEs across individual Wyoming basins compared to last week. This includes the Wind River Basin which dropped 3% and the Sweetwater Basin which dropped 6%.
The following table shows the percent of the median for March 22nd, the 2 previous weeks, one year ago, and two years ago for Wyoming basins.
