(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that for today, May 31, the low-pressure center will track toward Montana. Some wraparound moisture around the backside of the low will rotate counterclockwise into the area from the northwest for fewer scattered showers and afternoon thunderstorms.
The highs will be around 70 degrees, with west winds of 25 to 35 mph, and gusts of 40 to 45 mph in southeast Fremont County, including Jeffery City. The precipitation will be mainly all snow above 9,300 feet in the central and northern Wind River Mountains, and Togwotee Pass could see 3 to 5 inches of snow by the end of the day today.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with scattered evening showers and thunderstorms, lows in the low 40s, and west winds 15 to 25 mph.
Tomorrow, Monday, looks to be sunny, with highs in the low 70s and breezy southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph in the afternoon.
