Are you ready to embark on a captivating journey into the world of birdwatching? Join State Parks, the Lander Library, and Audubon Rockies to color your world with our local avian friends in the scenic Sinks Canyon on July 19th at 10:30 AM! Whether you’re a novice eager to learn or an enthusiast looking to refine your skills, this event promises a delightful morning amidst nature’s splendor. Sinks Canyon offers a diverse habitat that attracts a wide array of bird species, making it an ideal spot for both novice and seasoned birdwatchers. This guided walk will be led by knowledgeable local birding experts who are eager to share their passion and expertise as they lead you through the trails, sharing tips on how to spot and identify birds, as well as providing insights into their behaviors and habitats.
No prior experience is necessary, and families are welcome! Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather, bring water, and binoculars if you have them. Binoculars will be available to borrow for those who do not have their own, ensuring everyone can fully engage with the vibrant birdlife. We will meet at the Sinks Canyon Visitor Center to kick off the trek, but please leave pets at home so we don’t disturb any of our feathered friends!
