(Arapahoe, WY) – Three Lady Warriors at Arapahoe Charter High School were nominated to go to Spain for the Beyond Basketball Tour this summer, and after finding out back in February, they have been fundraising for the trip ever since.
As a part of Kenya Rhodes, Shawna Gardner, and Shayda BigLeggin’s fundraising efforts, the girls got to dunk a full cooler of Gatorade on their coach, Elizabeth Robles, aka “Coach Elizabeth.”
The school set up jars for the various coaches, and whichever coach received the most donations then had to take on the big splash.
“22 businesses in our community generously donated to their cause,” Assistant Girls Basketball Coach Nicole Biltoft shared. She added that they have had “multiple” fundraisers, and plan to have more.
The girls also recently presented their fundraising efforts to the FCSD #38 school board.
