(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, September 18, a low-pressure center over the Pacific Northwest will draw significant monsoonal moisture from the south into Wyoming. The result will be a good chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
Lipson says some thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall and small hail, as well as 40 mph wind gusts. Under partly sunny skies, the high temperature will be around 80 degrees.
Tonight, as the low-pressure center tracks to Idaho, we can expect numerous showers and thunderstorms, some with locally heavy rain, small hail, 40 mph wind gusts, and vivid lightning. Under mostly cloudy skies, the lows will be around 50 degrees.
