(Fremont County, WY) – Conrad Tillman was sentenced to 348 months and 23 days imprisonment for the charge of second-degree murder at his sentencing hearing held on March 21 before the Honorable Judge Kelly H. Rankin in Casper.
The sentence was “adjusted to reflect time defendant spent in Tribal custody on related conduct, to run concurrently to sentence received in (the) Wind River Tribal Court (docket No. 24-0361),” according to federal court filings. The sentence included five years of supervised release with special conditions, and Tillman was ordered to pay $6,998.10 in restitution and a $100 special assessment fee.
Tillman was sentenced in relation to the April 2024 murder of 36-year-old Utahnna BearComesOut (aka Tillman).
The federal complaint document on file states that Tillman shot BearComesOut in the head from point-blank range after the two had gotten into an alleged argument while driving on Highway 287 “south of Fort Washakie.”
The other counts Tillman originally faced, discharging and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and use of a firearm causing murder, were dropped as per stipulations made in a non-public plea agreement made back in December 2024.
The original charge of first-degree murder was also lessened to second-degree murder, as per the plea agreement.
As stated above, this sentence is to run concurrently with the one received in (the) Wind River Tribal Court (docket No. 24-0361), which County 10 does not have access to.
