(Fremont County, WY) – A wildfire southeast of Lander off of WY 287 is currently burning at 1,200 acres, according to the fire tracking app Watch Duty’s latest update, shared around 8:30 PM, July 4.
The fire has been dubbed the Twin Creek Fire.
The fire was first reported around 2:30 this afternoon, where it quickly grew to 100 acres within an hour.
Watch Duty updates since that time indicate air crews, including Single Engine Air Tankers, Air Attack, and later Large Air Tankers, have been assisting with the fire.
No further updates are available at this time.
