Fremont County Hockey had an excellent showing at this weekend’s State Championships, where two teams won state titles.
The 14 U Bantams brought home the B State Championship, and FCIHA white 10u Squirt team nabbed a championship win as well.

To celebrate the victory, there will be a fire truck Champions Parade tonight, Feb. 24, at 6 PM in Riverton, starting at Sutherland’s and going to Smith’s, followed by another Parade on Main Street in Lander on Tuesday, Feb. 25, also at 6 PM.
“A point that is notable is that we have a natural ice rink, so these teams practiced 10 maybe 12 times this year and competed against kids that started practicing in October,” parent Stephanie Oland shared. “It’s a real testament to the grit of the kids here in Fremont County.”
The 12 U peewees head to States in Gillette this weekend, while the high school team heads to States in Cody.
