(Lander, WY) – The final unofficial results for the 2024 General Election were tabulated and shared just after 11 PM on Election Night last night, and one of the local races many Lander residents were heavily invested in was the three open seats for the Fremont County School District (FCSD) #1 board of trustees.
The divisive race was split into two camps, one consisting of Taylor Jacobs, Virginia Arbery and Scott Jensen, and the other Mara Gans, Daniel McLane and Buck Tilton.
Ultimately, the results didn’t favor 100% for either group, and the three spots were filled with Jacobs, Jensen and Gans.
Jacobs and Jensen, both incumbents, received the most votes of the three, with Jacobs at 2,842 (15.17%), and Jensen at 2,732 (14.58%), and Gans coming in third at 2,652 (14.16%).
The race was indeed close, with Tilton not far behind Gans at 2,475 (13.21%), Arbery at 2,280 (12.17%), and McLane at 2,177 (11.62%).
There were a total of 48 write-ins in this race.
