Mark your calendars for the following children’s and youth activities coming up in March at the Lander Library:
Storytime: Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Our Enhanced Storytime (for infants through preschoolers) takes place Wednesday mornings.
We’ll still have stories and songs, then we’ll follow up with sensory activities for the little littles and a game or craft for the bigger littles. It’s storytime with even more fun!
Lego Club: March 5, 4-4:45 p.m.
Join us at the library for some Lego building fun! Our once monthly Lego Club is open to children ages 6 to 12 for free building with library Legos. Creations will be displayed in the children’s department for the week following the club. Our Junior Builders club is open to children ages 3 to 5 with an adult caregiver.
Chess club: March 12, 19 & 26, 4-5 p.m.
Sharpen your chess skills or learn how to play! Youth are invited to drop in for chess matches every Thursday of the month besides the first (join us for Lego Club instead!).
Storytime Dance Party: Mar. 20, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Come dance with us at the library! Our monthly dance parties for preschool-aged kiddos have plenty of songs, stories, and dancing. Caregivers are required to be present, and may even find it impossible to resist joining in the fun!
Teen Advisory Board Meeting: Mar. 19, 4-5 p.m.
We are currently recruiting teens entering grades 7th-12th. Take advantage of this opportunity to make an impact on your community. Be heard, earn service hours, and make new friends—all while representing teens at the library.
Teen Game Night: Thursdays, 4-6 p.m.
Teens in grades 7th-12th are encouraged to come and play any games they would like; board games, video games, card games and role playing games are available.
Additionally, artwork from the students of Gannett Peak and Baldwin Creek elementary schools will be on display throughout the library from Mar. 2-23.
