(Summit County, Utah) – The vehicle belonging to 60-year-old missing man Brent Layman has been found in Utah, but Layman is still missing at this time, according to updates from family members shared with County 10 on January 3.
On January 2, County 10 heard a scanner page indicating that Layman’s vehicle was found near Coalville, UT, along with his phone and wallet, which were inside the car.
Layman’s daughter confirmed as much yesterday, and told County 10 that his vehicle was found abandoned and later impounded on December 13, which they discovered after checking his mail and finding a letter notifying of the impound.
“The Summit County Sheriff Department is aware,” Layman’s daughter shared. The last bank transaction Layman made was on December 10, she also informed, but there is “still no clue as to where he is.”
Layman was last seen in Lander, Wyoming, on December 1, and the last time anyone was in contact with him was on December 12, which resulted in a multi-state attempt to locate being issued on December 27.
“His kids and family are all very worried and love him and we just want him to be found,” Layman’s daughter shared at the time.
