(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, March 13, a Pacific weather system is drawing closer to the area, resulting in thickening clouds, scattered showers, and southwest winds gusting up to 30 mph.
Lipson added that this will temporarily bring warm temperatures this afternoon, which he calls “the warm before the storm,” because cold northeast winds will then move into the area and turn the evening rain into snow by midnight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that wind will be the main concern across central and southern areas today, though a few showers are likely east of the Divide late in the day.
High temperatures will be in the 50’s for most today, with Dubois at 46 degrees and the South Pass area at 35 degrees.
Lows tonight will be in the 30’s and upper 20’s.
