(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, April 16, a storm complex over the Pacific Northwest will make its way to the Great Basin. This will increase the pressure gradient, causing clouds and winds gusting up to 35 mph.
Lipson says it will be a warm wind, but added that today will be the last warm day we have for the next few days because of an approaching cold front making its way into the area tonight. The front will offset the warmer air moving in today, and may cause some scattered showers before sunset, which will continue into tonight, turning into snow showers by midnight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that the cold front will usher in widespread snow east of the divide Thursday and Thursday night.
High temperatures will be in the lower 70’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 30’s.
