(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that high pressure overhead will continue to keep temperatures warmer the next couple of days with mainly dry conditions, and at the same time, a Pacific trough over the far west US will keep the pressure gradient rather tight, which means breezy conditions are in store as well.
Today, August 22, will be mostly sunny, with occasional southwest winds gusting up to 30 mph by this afternoon.
Winds will continue into this evening, with partly cloudy skies tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that isolated thunderstorms are possible in southern Wyoming this afternoon and evening. A better chance of showers and storms is expected on Friday.
High temperatures will be in the 80’s and 90’s today, with lows tonight in the 50’s and 60’s.
